Terenure PPU Business Lunch 2025 took place on Friday 17th October.
The Terenure PPU Business Lunch took place in a packed Westbury Hotel last Friday.
Our PPU president, Graham Coffey, opened proceedings, and we heard an excellent speech by Gareth Morgan, the School Captain, after a few words from the school principal, Philip Wallace.
Tom Lyons (CEO of The Currency) interviewed our two guests. John Church, CEO of the ISPCC, spoke about his career in both the private and charity sectors. John also spoke passionately about the Scholarship Fund, which pays the school fees and expenses of boys who would otherwise be unable to afford to attend Terenure College.
Keith Ryan was the recipient of the Terenure College PPU “Businessperson of the Year” Award.
Tom interviewed Keith about his career, his time at school, and his current role as Managing Director of the Swiss private bank, Julius Baer. Keith spoke about wealth preservation, the Irish entrepreneurial landscape, mistakes he made in business, and the mentors who helped shape his career to date.
One guest at each table won a signed Carlos Spencer rugby ball, courtesy of Rhino Rugby. The big raffle prize was a Lions jersey signed by all 14 Leinster participants on the tour. The jersey was kindly donated by Matthew Dowling, Chief Commercial Officer of Leinster Rugby. Donal Garvey was the lucky winner out of the hat. The raffle was for two causes this year, the Terenure College Benevolent Fund and the Scholarship Fund. A fantastic total of €6,495 was raised on the day!
